Onions / Shallots
A great crop of main crop Onions this year. The best for a long time and the Shallots performed well also. Very pleased. Parsnips and Carrots look ok as well.
The early Spuds (Queens and Charlotte) Did ok. Charlotte was very good. The Runners are now cropping well after a shaky start as are the Toms, so with just a few failures, it's been an ok season thus far.

Hay Marlin. A Blast from the past . We also had very good Caulies, the Sprouts look good as well so fingers crossed. Have you been after the Macs yet?

Welcome back Marlin! Glad to hear your cabbages and caulies are good. Like yourself and Cristy, mine are good too. No problems with caterpillars this year. I'm also growing kalettes for the first time this year and, along with the sprouts, they're looking good too. Runners are late this year but coming nicely now and onions well fit to pull. Like Cristy says, not such a bad year after all - apart from the apples which won't be a bumper crop this year - frosts in May did a lot of damage.

I am not sure that I will make Cider this year. Very poor crop we have. The beauty of Bath which is in demand at the mart. Not one apple. Bramleys have just a few. The Russets which had a bumper crop last year, one tree has none the other about six. I could go on but nuff said methinks. Yet a scratty little Golden Delicious is loaded. Oh well!

Yep. Same story here - I'll be lucky to have 50 gallons. And - first time ever - no dessert apples for sale. Worst Apple year ever!

A very respectable crop Sean. Mine is also very good but they don't look as neat as yours.

Unfortunately the "reasonable spud crop" didn't materialise. Worst potato crop ever. Quality very good but far too many small ones. The ground I grew them in was just too dry. Lesson learned!

I dont grow maincrop here because of the blite. Talking of which my outside Tomato crop has been wiped out. 50 strong plants gone over a weekend.

I grew Crimson Crush tomatoes this year and they're still growing away and fruiting - immune to blight!
