First crop of onions harvested

A welcome reaonable crop as our stored onions have just about had it.

Very impressive.  When did you plant them and what variety are they?  Like you, my stored onions are just about done. I will be buying onions from now on till August.

Hi Sean. They had some Japanese name but there are Dutch verities which are the same. I plant them in the poly in September along with the Garlic. They do fill the hungry gap but they dont keep as long as main crop.

That makes my few look pathetic but they are nearly ready to pull up. I didn't grow as many this year as last years went off in storage. Have a few outside coming on too.
