Hi folks, are we keeping this forum going without Wayland. If we are it would be really good to have more input from anyone reading this.

Deryn, we must try our best. Wayland has been the backbone of this forum and will be a major loss. I hope he will reconsider.

While scanning around other forums it would seem to me that our title "Self Sufficiency Ireland" is perhaps too restrictive. This is underscored by the next line. "Smallholding and Country Life In IRELAND Striving for self sufficiency. I think that perhaps a more open title would attract new members from overseas. What do you think?

I have no objection. I suppose we need to try something.

If we agree on a more open title, ie just leave "Ireland" out of the main heading but include it in a basic description as to where the forum originated we may get more members. We need to get Monst opinion of course.

I agree. If we can get just "Self - sufficiency" it would be a major coup.

hey all hows it going, if you want the name change, no problem, I have tried to put us forward to search engines to get more input, but to no avail, we do however have quite a few visitors looking round, so maybe a name change will help.
So is the consensus to change to just self sufficiency, and what about the sub-header?

Hi Monst. Hope you are well. Just kicking around a few ideas. Main heading:- Self Sufficiency.

Subheading:- An open forum for those who have an interest in trying to be self reliant.
or
:- An open forum for all or would be Homesteaders, Smallholders or micro farmers.
or
:- An open forum concerned with all things Self Sufficient.

or whatever you lads suggest.

Is there any update on the change of name. Any of the suggestions sound worth a try
