Preserving.
I have been freezing loads of Runners and Peas over the last few weeks and the freezers are looking quite respectable. We had a very good crop of Shallots although the new verity I have been trying looked great but, some had started to go moldy. My old yellow shallots were fine and the store cupboard`s top-shelf looks good with all types of pickles ready for Xmas and beyond. There is more to go in yet when they come in. Sitting by a blazing fire with a plate of good Ham, Pickles, Homemade bread, and a few jugs of Cider. Just the job.
