Pruning hedges. Empty Pruning hedges.

We have a huge Leylandii hedge t o the west and acts as a wind break for the house. I have started to prune this to have it done before the birds start nesting. Very important this as the young spludgers would be at risk from the many Magpies and Rooks if I pruned later and removed their cover. They would take the lot. Many gardeners dislike Leylandii but well managed it makes a great dense hedge and the prunings mulch my Blueberries. It keeps the PH low. Essential for Blueberries.
