The way the world is going, who knows what will happen regardjng food supplies next year? Iwould advise everyone to grow as much vegetables and fruit as possible this coming season. It would be no surprise to wake up one morning and hear that there are no potatoes to be had in the shops - or onions, or cabbage or apples etc. Most of these things are being imported as it is.and it wouldn't take much to disrupt the supply lines. If you have plenty of the basic vegetables - potatoes, onions, carrots, cabbages, peas and beans in your garden, at least you won't starve!

We live in interesting times. Like you Sean, I have always had a feeling of self-reliance. It is not a good idea to just sit back and hope for the best. The Second Law of Thermal Dynamics:- Chaos always follows order. Looking back in history this has always been the case.
