Running out of steam.

Sitting under my Beauty of Bath apple tree and noting a number of jobs requiring attention. I am in "Cant be arsed mode". This is an incurable disease I have that always kicks in this time of year. Well its been six months hard at it but, weeds continue to grow etc. Harvest time will kick in soon enough and then we will all be hard at it again storing, freezing, pickling etc, but not yet. Feck the weeds. I think I will just stay put and chill for a bit.

I know exactly how you feel, mate! Because I feel exactly the same! I just finished pulling the onions, (got stung three times by passing bees - they get very aggressive on sultry days like this when the honey-flow is over) and I feel knackered. A hundred jobs to do but to hell with it. I'm putting up the hammock, getting a book, a pipe and a jug of cider. I might do something in the evening ... or not.

I got my second wind around 5 o'clock and attacked the yard - I've been meaning to tidy it up for the past six months. Normally I wouldn't bother but expecting visitors any day and have to do something - it was beginning to look like something out of Dante's Inferno after going through Hurricane Katrina. Lots of strimming to do tomorrow - I could make life easy if I started supporting Monsanto and their infernal herbicides, but I don't think I'll go down that road.

Visitors!!. Can do without them yokes. Interrupting a blokes routine and all.

They're nearly worse than the mink. At least you can shoot the mink!

And I thought it was only me that was a misery, nice to know I'm not alone in this opinion.

Chaotic is the word I would use. Gardening on hold for now, for a while. Will get going again next year
