Wild pheasant cock

Not sure who had the biggest shock, went to shut the ducks in last night and there was a male pheasant eating the feed. I thought it was the ducks in there eating but they were out on a mission somewhere.

Sorry Deryn. I missed this post. They are the most beautiful bird to see. I do hear the occasional one in the woods but rarely see one. I tried to rear some once. Not a great success though. They pulled each others tail feathers out.
