Hybrid berries
Do any of ye grow hybrid berries? I'm putting three into the fruit cage - loganberries, boysonberries and tayberries, together with a thornless blackberry. I've grown tayberries for years and they are delicious, but I'm interested to see what the loganberry and boysonberry will be like. They should at least make good jam.

Re: Hybrid berries
Hi Sean, I have grown the thornless blackberries before, I found they produced very large berries but were lacking in flavour. The loganberries I used in jam as wasn't overly keen on the flavour as a snack but the jam was gorgeous.
I have planted a Jostaberry this year to try, have you ever had those?
Not done boysonberries or tayberries, there's 2 for the future to try.

I have a thorn less Blackberry and have never had much of a crop off it. Loganberries are a fine soft fruit me thinks although mine died. I think you will have a job keeping the blackberry under control in a fruit cage Sean but good luck with it.
