Our daffs are just making buds but when the weather is as good as the last couple of days it certainly lifts the spirits.
My potting shed didn't know what hit it today, had a major clear out.

we have snowdrops in the lawn, well our grassey patch lol, daffs inbud, and a rose in bud too, no sign of the tulips yet, although they were planted late. spring seems to have semi sprung so far, its lovely to have the warmer day, but still a few frosts around. Our garlic is doing well, not much else planted yet, got some onions ready to go in though

Same as that. I bought a load of Shallots and onion sets today. I go for Stuttgarters myself - I prefer 'em to Sturons. I've tried Centurions and Hercules, and Red Barons and Snowballs, but I keep coming back to Stuttgarters as the most reliable. They don't bolt and they keep well.

Spotted our first Bumble of the year today. We also had a great aerial display of Buzzards squabbling over mates high in the blue sky. My wildlife preserve is now full of LBJ's feeding at the table. With the snow receding my thought go back preparations for the spring. I need to get my main crop onions. The wheel turns indeed.
